Straight talk about the law

Irish gambling law has changed. Under the Gambling Regulation Act 2024, the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland (GRAI) began issuing remote betting licences on 1 July 2026, and online betting operators serving Irish customers now need a GRAI licence. Online casino (gaming) licences have not opened yet.

The offshore brands we link to (Cloudbet, BetUS, VegasAces and SlotsParadise) are not licensed by the GRAI. Cloudbet holds a Curaçao licence. A GRAI-licensed bookmaker gives you Irish consumer protections and the GRAI complaints route; an offshore site does not. Read our Irish law guide before you decide anything.

We earn commission when you sign up through some links. It never decides what we write.
